USDT on Ethereum stays native USDT (ERC-20) and connects to the USDT0 Network through the Legacy Mesh. You keep holding native USDT on Ethereum. When you transfer, the Legacy Mesh routes your funds through the Arbitrum hub and delivers native USDT0 on the destination chain. There are no wrapped tokens or synthetic representations, and every transfer is backed 1:1 by real, redeemable assets on both sides.

Transfers run on the Legacy Mesh, a non-custodial hub-and-spoke design routed through the Arbitrum hub. The USDT0 leg is secured by LayerZero and the USDT0 Attestation System, which verifies every transfer through independent attestation before it finalizes. Each message needs sign-off from the Core Attestation Set, a 3-of-3 signer group of USDT0, LayerZero, and Canary. No single party can approve a transfer. Every transfer is backed by real assets through liquidity pools or direct mint and burn, with no wrapped tokens and no external bridges.

Bridging to and from Ethereum has no protocol fee (0 bps). You only pay network gas on the source and destination chains.
